Overview

A vitamin is an organic compound required as a nutrient in tiny amounts by an organism. A compound is called a vitamin when it cannot be synthesized in sufficient quantities by an organism, and must be obtained from the diet. Thus, the term is conditional both on the circumstances and the particular organism. For example, ascorbic acid functions as vitamin C for some animals but not others, and vitamins D and K are required in the human diet only in certain circumstances.

Vitamins are classified by their biological and chemical activity, not their structure. Thus, each "vitamin" actually refers to a number of vitamer compounds, which form a set of distinct chemical compounds that show the biological activity of a particular vitamin. Such a set of chemicals are grouped under an alphabetized vitamin "generic descriptor" title, such as "vitamin A," which (for example) includes retinal, retinol, and many carotenoids. Vitamers are often inter-convertible in the body. The term vitamin does not include other essential nutrients such as dietary minerals, essential fatty acids, or essential amino acids, nor does it encompass the large number of other nutrients that promote health but are otherwise required less often.

Could Your Work's Drinking Water Stations Be Making You Sick?

Everybody work has different types of drinking water stations. Some of these bottles, which are upside down on a cooler. Some have fountains.

No question of what type of water your work, I bet you think that it is purely and healthy.

Not necessarily so! Their work could easily be taken with contaminated drinking water water.

Now, I'm not saying they are doing this on purpose.

The problem is not that your place of employment does not care. It is likely that they do not know much about the sad state of our water.

Unfortunately drink, which is piped to your home or your work could easily be contaminated with everything from pesticides on prescription drugs lead.

Our local filter systems are woefully inadequate to filter all the thousands of carcinogens, toxic chemicals, shipping and pathogens, which regularly find their way into what we drink.

Think I'm exaggerating about the number of carcinogens?

Ralph Nader's group has recently completed a study of major American water systems and found over 2000 known carcinogens.

I wish I were exaggerated, but unfortunately I am not.

Well, what is your work with the water stations? If the water comes not from your city municipal filtration system, then it is okay ... Right?

Not necessarily!

I do not know about your specific mineral water, that your company buys, but much of it comes straight from the tap water!

The FDA has recently said that these companies attempted to get to think their product is pure amounts to "defrauding" The American populace.

Even when it comes from a bottle with a label on it like what you drink at work could slightly contaminated!

Did you know that there are no federal regulations, which are also responsible for your water bottles when it never transported over state lines?

So if you drinking water stations at work, you do not with pure water, what can you do? I believe that you have clean water to drink!

Buying your own bottled water is not to help. You're no longer sure that they will not be contaminated as the water already in work.

Your only solution is to filter your own water at home. Or at least one of those special bottles, filter impurities as you pour.

Not any filtering system, however. There are a number of methods, not only to you with the quality of water you need - reverse osmosis is one of them. So, is UV-light.

The best filter systems work in two phases. They do this to filter out the impurities, while he was on the track minerals that we actually need for the extra health.
